PRESS STATEMENT 25th of April 2014

Shell Information Session
Keretapi Sarong
Picture
Melbourne - One long weekend down, one more to go and as usual, we have a couple of events lined up for you! So be prepared to dig out that corporate gear and head on down to Shell’s Information Session or if that isn’t for you, don that sarong and get those walking shoes on for #tramsarongmelb with Keretapi Sarong!

Don’t get too used to this back-to-back break though peeps - the second half of Semester 1 is just around the corner. Time to get into the books and nut out those assignment questions but as the saying goes: work hard, play hard, so be sure to complement that academic dedication with non-academic activities (by coming to the events we promotes)!

Event Details:
Date:  26th April, 2014 (Saturday)
Time: 3.00pm - 5.30pm
Venue: Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne 3000

Ever wonder about what it would be like to work at Shell, a leading Oil and Gas company in the world? Then head on down to the Multicultural Hub this Saturday to speak to Shell representatives and find out more about the Shell Graduate Programme! This event is open to all students in any year level and of all backgrounds too, so still come along even if you are just a keen first-year or proactive second-year student.

There is also a free exclusive networking dinner for selected final year students who send in their resume to mcareers@mascavictoria.com, so get on it! This is an opportunity you would not want to miss.

2) Keretapi Sarong

Event Details:
Date:  26th April, 2014 (Saturday)
Time: 2.00pm

Venue: Starts at RMIT, Bowen St and then on and off trams/trains around Melbourne!

In January 2002, seven guys decided to play a prank in New York City by boarding subway cars on separate stops.. without pants. Since then, this event has taken place in over 60 countries and now, the Malaysian students’ community in Melbourne is also taking part - with its own local twist.

Instead of wearing everything but pants, Malaysian students will be wearing everything AND a sarong while running around the streets of Melbourne. So, pull out those sarongs peeps!
