Down under camp 2016
New students will be able to find out what studying in Australia is like and can learn more about living in Australia. Each state would send in their own representatives to brief and engage with new students. This would be useful for new students, as different states in Australia have unique issues and challenges. Apart from providing networking opportunities for new students, this pre departure event would also help current students in Australia to network with one other.
Lastly, it will also serve as a forum to address any matters concerning new students. To summarise, below are the objectives of DUC:
1) To serve the welfare needs of new students who will be studying in Australia through briefings, discussions and activities.
2) To foster and strengthen the relationship between new, current and previous Malaysian students in Australia.
3) To provide an opportunity for overseas students to contribute back to the local community in Malaysia.
