Malaysian Games will be held for the first time ever in Melbourne in 2012. Stay tuned for more details!

The 1st of October marked the start of the first ever ASEAN Games Melbourne initiated by MSports which was held over two days! Even though the weather was dark and gloomy, it did not dampen anyone’s spirits as over 1000 spectators turned up to cheer on their countries!

Our very own Malaysians shined in the Basketball and Badminton winning medals in different categories. Not to mention Malaysia also dominated the Futsal court by taking home the Gold, Silver and Bronze titles!

We also took home the Most Valuable Player award! Congratulations to Benjamin Sim for being the MVP for Basketball and Shhobaa Palan for being the MVP for Netball! To make things even better, both MVPs took home complimentary AirAsia return tickets!

With that, the ASEAN Games Melbourne is set to become an annual convention that all South East Asian students will look forward to each year.
